John 9:18-41

I appreciate this passage because it actually follows up with the guy who was healed by Jesus. So many times, we read about someone who was healed by Jesus but we never know what really happened after that. But with this guy, it’s different.

After Jesus heals him, people go crazy. The leaders in the town are trying to retain power and control, but something has happened that is outside of their control- Jesus happened. Jesus just kept doing what he does. And the leaders try to keep up. So the questions start flooding in and the now not-blind guy is the target of all the questions.

But here’s the awesome thing about this guy. His simplicity. I love the simplicity of his answers and account of what happened. He encountered Jesus, Jesus changed his life, and it made all the sense in the world to him…. For him, there was no question that his healing was an act of God. He was fully willing to believe in Jesus because he knew what God had done for him through Jesus.

So again, I ask the question: what has Jesus done for you?
